About John Love
 
John was born August 11, 1972. He was raised by his mom, Frances, and dad, Robert, in Locust, NC and is the next to oldest of 3 brothers. He graduated from West Stanley High School in 1990.

John's introduction to country music came when he spent summers at his Grandmother's house listening to George Jones, Ernest Tubb, Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniels and many other legends on her old record player. He started playing the guitar and singing at age 8. His dad and uncle Butch were instrumental in the development of his love for country music. Every time the family got together, music was always the main attraction. At age 15, John wrote his first song, and began performing locally at age 16. John's first major performance was in a talent show on a cruise ship in Jamaica singing "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffet. A short time later, John formed his first band and played local clubs and festivals in and around Charlotte, NC. His appearances have run the gamut from the 4th of July celebration in Oakboro NC, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre opening for such acts as Kenny Chesney,Alabama,Chris Cagle,Travis Tritt and many more. the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville TN, The Broken Spoke Saloon in Nashville TN, and also Hog Wild in Huntsville AL, among many other venues. His list of influences includes Merle Haggard, Jon Prine, George Jones, George Strait, Keith Whitley, Don Williams, James Taylor, Tracy Byrd, and Vern Gosdin. In fact, John has often been referred to as “The Modern Day Vern Gosdin”. John has a way of capturing a crowd.

In 1998, John moved to Nashville, TN to pursue his songwriting and his love of music. He worked as a truck driver during the day and performed at songwriter’s nights at clubs in Nashville. Working as a truck driver gave John plenty of time to pen songs like, "She Won't Need You Anymore", an emotional ballad on his first album "The Good Life". The album was engineered and produced by famous Nashville music producer/engineer Bob Bullock, who has worked on projects by George Strait, Shania Twain, Tracy Byrd and many other notable artists. During the making of his CD, several of the famous Nashville session musicians who played on the project even commented about how refreshing it was to see and hear a talented young guy singing more traditional Country music, complete with plenty of fiddle and steel guitar. Mike Curb Music in Nashville provided assistance with song review and selection and provided guidance through the recording process.

Based on all the elements that are falling into place and judging from the response of audiences in virtually every venue, 2005 looks to be the breakout year for this exciting new artist. John is currently speaking with several management agencies in Nashville and hopes to ink a management deal by mid first quarter. His focus is on achieving his lifelong goal of securing a national label deal and he is working hard to accomplish this. Be sure to catch a performance of this exciting new Country Music artist.
